In my current configuration I have 11-11-3 measuring from tweeters.
First number is the distance between speakers, second is listening distance and
the third is the distance from the shudder where the horn axis are pointing out. This is not a good

I do not use the ionizers for my LP setup anymore. I find that it is very inconsistent as sometime it helps against dust and sometime it does not. What however, I did noted that if you use a powerful ionizer that can ionize the enter room then it loo...
I think you pointed out correctly. GOTO sell speaker driver and not a system - because it is impossible to pre-config a multi-horn system to fit every buyer's room and sound taste. As a business, I offer the full service of insta...

I know it is a difficult subject but as it has to do less with audio but more with life priorities. Still, the practice indicates that the short-wall installations for acoustic systems of the topology that Steve is trying to make will never work. Sur...

new house we have 14x24 room that we

Got the corrected size of the cathedral room from the building plans. What a cool room for the long wall configuration! Hey, does anybody guess where my large 80” ...

I find this solution of inlaying a solid (concrete?) plinth/platform in the flooring to support the speakers very elegant and it should be very efficient at eliminating floor resonances:You could also make a similar structure to support your equipmen...

tarted to mount the open baffle for ULF channels at my
attic. The system is fully operational,
not time aligned yet to the degree that I would like it to be but I'm going to
tell you: that Tannoy Red 10 is something that makes everything so sweet...
I am not quite understanding part of what you say:
"It is very difficult to make a generalization about it but generally this quite “large bloomy space” will be a space equal to, I would say, 1/8-1/12 of the room ...

Hello Romy and others,Ive been away for a long time taking care of my health but i'm back with renewed interest. I am moving to a new house in the future and have plans for a dedicated music room (and an occasional movie) The space is however much sm...

Since my new room is set and the playback is installed and configures I name an interesting observation:

Continue to think in this direction I come to very promising hy...

Ok, how to start. First of all we have to understand that out subject of attention will be a region between approximately 80Hz and 500Hz or something that shape the fundamentals of the “melody range” within your playback. Search my site I have writte...
The paradox of the orchestra sound would be resolved if we asume that the audience (in the good seats) mostly hear the reflected sound, primarily from the wall behind the stage and that the players at the front follow the visual lead...

Hello Collin,
Others may disagree, but my first reaction would be to give up the closet space and hang your clothes or store your items on open racks, covering the racks with a thick velour curtain; together this will make a nice diffuser/absorber...
Finally, let me add a personal point of view. If you walk into a room and you are not really aware of its acoustics - it is probably a good room …
It is not my observation. When you walk into a good room it clearly h...

In reading this thread I am compelled to ask the simple question about the rest of the room. In my experience moving furniture and room treatments also make a huge impact and must certainly inffluence the perfect lcation for any room as specifically ...

Hi! Here is the measured response in 2,5 meter distance living room. 1st order 750. And you can see the roll off after 5k. I know german, so its no problem :) So you have no opinion on the coral crossover from my last post? Only 26 minutes left for b...

I suggest you keep the old room in tact. Continue to rent the place maintaing it as a second listening room in the city. Do not move any equipment. Koshka may not like living in suburbs and become more cantankerous than she already is. Start with...

Scooter, many houses in the Northeast were roofed by people who understand how this works, and the first few courses of shingles are "underlain" accordingly, to preclude such seepage. In Romy's case, I believe he could simply treat the entire horn lik...
